I blame the Executive Board - Steve, Krista, Melanie, Concetta and Luke are the problem. They have allowed the Executive Directors reign of terror and nepotism to run rampant and unchecked, despite the many attempts by former staff, vendors, and patrons to let them know what was actually going on.
I disagree that they are good people. “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph, is for good people to do NOTHING”…..
Former staff have not a lot to say, considering the NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) that are (I'm told) fairly standard for exiting non-profit workers these days.
The details just get worse in this story, sadly. It isn’t clear that the people at WEDI are approaching this as an opportunity to improve, without adopting a defensive posture. Did these problems exist at the old Bazaar? If not, how was that managed differently?
The Executive Director ran all the good people out. Just look at the staff on their website. I don’t see anyone that was there a year ago.The Board stood behind her crippling anyone ready to speak up. Shame on the Board at this point.

Moreover, these foundations who give all this money, have checks and balances and you would they would have a vested interest into knowing where their money is going and how it is getting (or not getting) spent.

I ask myself that constantly as a tenant
As a taxpayer, I’m quite angry. Gov Hochul received favorable publicity, she should know what’s happening.
