I can't speak to her ice cream, but I'm going to try it out.
Speaking of local-ish ice cream that's delicious, check out Gene and Tammy Calhoun's places in Lakewood, NY, and also in April they'll be opening their spot in Conewango Valley (1.5 hours south of Buffalo). They make their own ice cream and sell it by the pint. Currently, I have their "pb overload", "pistachio", "fireball (the candy, not the drink)", "rum raisin", etc. pints in my freezer. They don't have a website per se, but are on Facebook. They use the Scottish version of their surname, Calhoun (which is Colquhoun's Ice Cream on FB). You can message them and either stop by their locations to buy the ice cream, or you can message Gene, one of the owners, and he'll make up whatever pints you want from their endless list of possibilities, and you can pick it up at their locations or at the Eden Valley Creamery (which, btw, makes delicious cheeses, all organic).
I'm neither related to Gene nor am I getting kickbacks; their ice cream is just the bomb, and worth the travel to get it!
My pleasure. Didn't intend to hijack the post, but since we're talking local-ish ice cream, it's def worth a mention. I do know that at their new shop in Lakewood, they also make subs (I had a turkey sub there recently, and I cannot believe how much food they pile onto one sub!) and soups/chili. My dad just went and said the chili is fantastic. Again, a bit of a drive from up here, but worth a shout-out!

Jen’s ice cream is amazing. I still think of the strawberry, white chocolate mint and matcha from last summer!
