Thanks for shining a spotlight on Salt Cuisine on Kensington Avenue in Snyder and the delicious food it prepares for take-out and enjoyment at home.

I discovered this culinary gem when it was opened by Beth James. It sustained me through the pandemic and I have continued to enjoy its soups, salads, sandwiches, wraps, entrees and sweets prepared by current owner Chelsae Steward.

Items are prepared weekdays and there is a freezer stocked with customer favorites. The food is of the highest quality and entrees often can serve two adults.

Perfect for busy nights, and ideal for senior citizens and those who aren’t into meal prep but crave homestyle cooking.

Each weekday’s menu is posted around 11 a.m. with a photo of a featured item on its Facebook page.

I have frequent this place several times now, and I love their food. I’ve tried their frozen meals And their chicken pot pies.

One thing that might help their business: The production of chicken pot pies is a regular, so to speak. I know lots of people who have tried them, and we all love them, but some days they have them, some days they don’t, it’s pretty inconsistent and a lot of people these days like consistency. And it’s not that they don’t have them on given days because they’ve sold out, although I’m sure they do sell out some days; it’s that I’ve called and they’ve told me different things like well. Our suppliers are late, we don’t have any ready now, and I don’t know about the reality of meal prep company logistics, but if people really like a product at any business, but they can’t get it with the consistency they want, that might be having an impact on their bottom line. But the food is delicious and the owner and staff are very friendly and kind.
